More than half of the world’s population lives in cities where this connection with nature is being lost, with serious consequences for people’s physical and mental health due to this lack of contact.

The University of Granada has led an international research project that confirms this loss of interaction with nature, also due to the lack of opportunities to get closer to it.

This research aims to promote cities that seek to bring green spaces closer to citizens’ daily lives so that they can enjoy the health benefits. They also point out the positive impact this would have on biodiversity conservation.
