As every year, the Granada City Council has designed a programme to commemorate this day. The institutional act with the floral tribute will take place on 26th May in the Plaza Mariana Pineda, recently declared a Place of Democratic Memory.

During the month of May, a wide range of activities will take place, such as guided tours of the urban spaces linked to her life, an amateur theatre show starring women, the presentation of the Mariana Pineda Awards for Equality between Women and Men, as well as an open day at her house-museum.

There will also be participatory initiatives such as the literary planting of books in the public space, the creative tribute of the Red de Tejedoras and conferences focusing on key female figures in history and law, such as Margarita Xirgú and Mariana herself.
