Vigías Programme: Second Edition to Detect Harassment and Prevent Suicide

The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Granada has launched the second edition of the Vigías Programme, an initiative aimed at the entire university community with the goal of providing training in the detection and prevention of harassment and suicide risk.

The course will take place on Tuesdays, from 28 October to 25 November. Registration is mandatory for participation, and applications are open to all UGR students. It offers two modules: one focused on students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and another on the prevention of harassment and suicide risk.

Among the topics covered are mental health and suicide prevention, the UGR’s gender violence protocols, the services of the Student Social Support Office, and the experiences of students participating in peer support programs.

With this initiative, the UGR aims to build a network of peer support, promote safe spaces, and raise awareness of mental health, harassment, and inclusion within the university environment.
