29 May Corpus Christi – Granada 2026
Granada will celebrate its traditional Corpus Christi Fair from the 30th of May to the 6th of June 2026, one of the city’s most emblematic and eagerly awaited festivities. With more than five centuries of history, this celebration combines religious tradition, popular culture and a festive atmosphere, turning both the city streets and the fairground into one of the main social and cultural meeting points of spring in the city.
Throughout the week, the Almanjáyar fairgrounds will host marquees, attractions and live music activities, while the historic city centre will once again feature some of the most characteristic symbols of Corpus, such as the traditional Carocas, the parade of La Tarasca, and the solemn Corpus Christi procession, which will take place on Thursday 4 June, a local holiday in Granada.
This year’s programme also includes exhibitions, performances, cultural activities and bullfighting events, reinforcing the open and participatory spirit of a festival that blends religious tradition with popular celebration. The traditional alumbrao — the ceremonial switching on of the fair lights — will officially open the festivities on the night of Saturday 30 May, marking the beginning of a week filled with flamenco, music, gastronomy and celebration both day and night.
