Japan in Granada

Can you imagine travelling to Japan without leaving Granada? From 31 October to 8 November, the city will be filled with Japanese culture as Granada welcomes a new edition of Japan Week, the perfect opportunity to discover Japanese traditions, cuisine and fascinating cultural heritage.

One of the main highlights will be the Matsuri Festival, taking place on 31 October and 1 November in Plaza Bib-Rambla. It is the perfect opportunity to explore, soak up the atmosphere and experience Japanese culture right in the heart of the city.

The programme will continue with a range of activities across Granada, including talks and lectures on 6 and 7 November. It is a great chance to learn more about Japan, discover new perspectives and share an interest in a culture that continues to fascinate young people.

For those looking for a more immersive experience, the Kimono Club meet-ups offer a special way to enjoy the Matsuri festival while wearing this traditional Japanese garment.

Whether you are passionate about anime and manga or interested in Japanese cuisine, history or traditions, you are sure to find something that catches your eye.
