01 Oct THE UGR LAUNCHES A PROGRAM FOCUSED ON PERIMENOPAUSE AND POSTMENOPAUSE.
The “Multicomponent Program: Perimenopause and Postmenopause” is now underway, offering free services to women between the ages of 45 and 60 who are members of the academic staff (PDI) and administrative staff (PTGAS). The program combines supervised physical exercise, health education, and individualized follow-up, providing participants with tools to understand and cope with the changes associated with this stage of life.
The program has been promoted by the Rector’s Office for Health and Relations with the Healthcare System and the Office of Social Action, which reports to the Vice Rector’s Office for Equality, Inclusion, and Social Commitment. The activities will take place between October and December and will alternate between supervised physical exercise and educational sessions, all led by professionals from various health fields.
The physical training sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Sports Activities Center on the Fuentenueva Campus, where participants can choose between two time options: Pavilion 2, from 10:30 to 11:30, or from 11:30 to 12:30 at CuboFit. The educational sessions will be held on Thursdays at the Espacio V Centenario, with two options: from 10:30 to 11:30 or from 11:30 to 12:30.
