11 Feb CELEBRATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE
The UGR has organised more than 90 activities in schools and institutes to recognise and make visible the contributions of women in science and technology, with the participation of more than 5,000 students.
On 11 February, the key role that women and girls play in scientific and technological communities will be recognised worldwide. Once again this year, the University of Granada is organising a programme of activities to commemorate this day.
On 11 February an event will take place in which a group of girls and women will read a manifesto, personifying the female presence in university science. This event will be attended by female researchers and the rector of the UGR.
In this edition, the activities will seek to recognise and give visibility to the role of women in science, with the participation of 87 women researchers who will carry out 90 activities with the presence of secondary and high school students.
