10 Dec The Aquatics Lab of the UGR accredited as a high-performance scientific centre.
The European Aquatics organisation has awarded the Aquatic Lab of the University of Granada with the accreditation ‘Sport Science & High-Performance Centres’, an exclusive recognition that only one other laboratory has obtained alongside that of the UGR.
The European Aquatics programme aims to improve training environments and scientific support for European athletes. Accredited centres gain visibility and prestige from a seal of quality endorsed by this programme.
The aim of this initiative is to support athletes in the aquatic disciplines of water polo, high jump, artistic swimming and open water. The programme represents a breakthrough in improving training environments and scientific support for European athletes. The other laboratory to achieve this accreditation alongside the Aquatics Lab at the Faculty of Sport Sciences is the Gloria Sport Arena in Turkey.
