The UGR Prepares Its First Hyperclassroom

The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Granada is developing its first hyperclassroom, an innovative teaching space designed to promote more dynamic and collaborative learning. The opening is scheduled for early 2026.

This new classroom, located on the Cartuja campus, will cover approximately 150 m². Its design moves away from the traditional layout of rows of desks and instead incorporates modular work areas, advanced digital equipment, presentation zones, and dedicated spaces for multimedia projects such as podcasts and livestreaming.

One of the key pillars of the project is universal accessibility. The furniture will be adaptable to different needs, connection points will be distributed to allow flexible movement around the room, and the software will include tools to support students with visual or hearing impairments.

This initiative is part of the UGR’s broader plan to modernize its educational spaces, aiming to provide flexible, inclusive environments that meet the new challenges of higher education.
