The University of Granada breaks its own record, surpassing 157 in the 2023 edition and 154 in 2022. This prestigious list has been compiled by Stanford University, where the University of Granada has managed to consolidate its leading position in the international scientific field.

The ranking provided by Stanford University assesses two main categories: one focused exclusively on the impact generated during 2024 and the other on the impact of researchers throughout their careers. It is worth noting that, in addition to being one of the universities with the strongest presence, 66 UGR researchers appear on both lists and 25 are included for the first time in one of the two categories.

The areas with the highest representation of UGR researchers were:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing: 28
  • Dentistry: 11
  • Pharmacology and Pharmacy: 9
  • Nuclear and Particle Physics: 7
  • Food Science: 7
  • Mathematics: 7
  • Sports Science: 6
